QUALIFICATIONS

● University degree in computer engineering (software) or computer science
with at least 4 years of experience in the field
● Software architecture development under Windows® (or multi-platform) object-oriented with C ++ 11
● Excellent understanding of quality assurance, debugging techniques and software development process
● Fully bilingual (French/English), both spoken and written

SKILLSET

● Excellent understanding of high-performance real-time rendering software/hardware
● Solid experience in the software optimization
● Knowledge of key technologies such as: DirectX, OpenGL, QT
● Proficient with the Visual Studio IDE, Perforce and JIRA
● Experience integrating features using third party libraries and/or SDKs
● Experience with high bandwidth video/audio encoding and decoding (4K+)
● Knowledge of real-time software (UnReal, Touch Designer, Notch, …)

Job description

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Software development:
● Write clean, high-quality, optimized, maintainable code
● Contribute to the software design and architecture of the platform in alignment with the product development strategy
● Perform software development according to industry best practices (i.e.: unit testing, pier code reviews)
● Prototype, develop and deliver new functionalities in accordance with product roadmap
● Improve and refactor existing code base in order to improve stability and performance
● Contribute to knowledge base by helping document key software features
● Provide occasional support to user community and FLOAT4 production team
● Contribute to software development documentation (i.e.:UML diagrams, wire frames etc… )

Admin
● Provide weekly time reports (Harvest)
● Support product manager in planning development cycles by providing comprehensive estimates for feature completion/refactor

R&D:
● Initiate and contribute to R&D projects that will create added value to the product line
