FLOAT4 lights up the world's first guitar shaped hotel by designing its nightly Guitar Show.
The facade of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is both a media system and a dynamic sculpture. The building is lined with 16,800 LED video fixtures (V-Sticks), which serve as a screen and stage to daily musical showcases. Six lasers are projected nearly 20,000 ft into the sky, mimicking the strings on a guitar neck.
During a show, individual V-Sticks will light up with different colours, speeds, patterns or directions. Each show is based on a content sequence the Float4 team designed. The team worked with SACO Technologies, who provided the V-Sticks, to program and choreograph the shows.
The digital media façade was managed, directed, engineered and installed by DCL.
